Naomi Myrick, PMHNP

Naomi Myrick, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and founder and Clinical Director of Cardinal Care Psychiatric Services. She has led the organization since 2020, with a focus on providing accessible, high-quality mental health care. Naomi’s practice emphasizes health equity, particularly for underserved and rural populations, with expertise in treating conditions like Adult ADHD across diverse patient demographics. A passionate educator, Naomi has precepted more than 20 PMHNP students and was honored with the 2023 Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Preceptor Award by the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. She also founded Cardinal Academy, an online platform offering specialized, CE accredited training for psychiatric nurse practitioners in areas such as billing and coding for private practice, Pediatric Psychiatry, and Adult ADHD.

Naomi actively contributes to advancing mental health care through her involvement in professional organizations and initiatives.Naomi serves on the advisory board for the Duke of School of Nursing Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneur Program, promoting healthcare accessibility, by helping to guide Nurse Practitioners into independent practice.

She serves on the membership committee and as co-chair for the Women and Girls in ADHD Special Interest Group for the American Professional Society for ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD), is a member of the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance, the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses, the Society of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners of Color and the American Nurses Association.

Additionally, she serves on the Mental Health Advisory Board for Tebra Technologies and as a consultant to Tebra's product development team.

Martin Katzman, MD

Dr. Katzman is the Clinic Director and Staff Psychiatrist at the S.T.A.R.T. Clinic (Stress, Trauma, Anxiety, Rehabilitation and Treatment) for Mood and Anxiety Disorders. He is also a faculty member at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (Laurentian University and Lakehead University). He is also appointed in the Department of Psychology at Lakehead University and is a member of the Faculty of Psychology at Adler School of Professional Studies. Dr. Katzman was trained at the University of Toronto, first undertaking his B.Sc. in Psychology and Neuroscience, and subsequently his medical training and residency.

Dr. Katzman’s clinical work deals chiefly with the diagnosis and treatment of adults suffering with mood and anxiety disorders, as well as those suffering with chronic Attention Deficit Disorders, Executive Dysfunction and chronic pain.

Dr. Katzman provides expert diagnostic assessment, and pharmacological treatment as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in both group and individual formats, psychodynamic treatment and Mindfulness Based treatments.

As an educator, Dr. Katzman has developed numerous training programs for both students and clinicians including medical students and residents, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, a variety of support workers as well as naturopaths, and other complementary and alternative medicine clinicians.

His research primarily involves examining the psychological manifestations associated with executive dysfunction in the mood, anxiety and traumatic disorders. Most recently, his specific recent interest has involved examining the role of “Intolerance of Uncertainty” as a driver of psychopathology and the role of hedonic tone in predicting the presence of comorbid conditions and differential response to treatment. In the past he has used such varied tools as positron emission tomography, the respiratory physiological challenge, and Doppler imaging, in association with a variety of anxiogenic challenges.

Dr. Katzman is also a founding member of the Board of Directors as well as the founding and current Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Anxiety Disorders Association of Canada/Association Canadienne des Troubles Anxieux (ADAC/ACTA).

He is the chair of a variety of scientific advisory boards, on the editorial board for a number of journals, and has published numerous papers in the areas of Anxiety, Mood, Pain and Attention Disorders.

The focus of his research has been related to Hypoprefrontality, Executive Dysfunction, Intolerance of Uncertainty and Low Hedonic Tone in relation to the development of a variety of comorbidities in association with treatment resistance.

Karen Saporito, PhD

Dr. Karen Saporito is a licensed clinical psychologist in both NJ and Pennsylvania and is the Clinical Director of Integrative Psychology Associates of South Jersey, LLC.   She earned her BA in psychology from Boston University. After working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting, she went on to earn her MA and PhD from Hahnemann University, now Drexel University. She completed her predoctoral internship working at Nemours Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware, gaining experience in a wide range of medical departments and areas of clinical psychology practice. She continued on to complete her postdoctoral fellowship in NJ, working with children and families in the foster care system who had particular difficulties with trauma and mental health diagnoses. Dr. Saporito has worked in an independent practice setting since licensure. She has performed over 10,000 diagnostic evaluations for forensic purposes, including social security disability, workman’s compensation, educational placement and legal consultations.

Dr. Saporito sees a wide range of clients with varying issues, but has a particular interest and specialty in diagnosing and treating children and adults with ADHD and Autism spectrum disorder.  She is passionate about educating medical and mental health providers, as well as clients, about the different presentation by gender as well as adults with neurodevelopmental disorders.  She is a member of the American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD), as well as the World Federation of ADHD.

When she is not working, she is raising her family, gardening, cooking and trying to practice all of the things she teaches her clients. She aims to make therapy fun and is eternally grateful for the opportunity to accompany each and every client on their journey of self-understanding and self-exploration and learns from everyone with whom she works.

Inger Shaye Colzie is an ADHD Coach and Psychotherapist specializing in making a difference for Black woman executives and entrepreneurs, supporting women through clarity, empowerment and resilience.

She has successfully run her practice, Alchemy Coaching & Counseling, as a therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 15 years in spite of being undiagnosed until in her 50s. She offers the benefits of professional expertise with a lifetime of experience.

Inger Shaye saw the need to create a space for Professional Black Women with ADHD on Facebook to fellowship, share and learn from one another. She was a guest speaker on YouTube How to ADHD and the Stanford University Neurodiversity Project among others. She has also led multiple workshops for Black Women with ADHD such as DEI, ADHD in the workplace, Diversity in Neurodiversity, ADHD Energy Management, and Black Women with ADHD: Frazzled but still Fabulous.

Inger Shaye experience includes NLP practitioner, Level 2 Brainspotting practitioner, ADDA member and volunteer, Philadelphia CHADD executive committee member, Founder National Association of Black ADHD Coaches, and  C-Suite Executive Coach for a multi-million dollar company.
